Events in Weymouth throughout 2010

July

July at the Pavilion see’s the start of the Summer Season with the Fabulous Waterloo along with a huge showing from our local talent. Budmouth School, Royal Manor School, Weymouth Drama Club and Weymouth Operatic Society will all be on stage with their annual shows. If you haven’t visited Ritz, our new cafe located in the foyer, please come along and join us for a coffee and a slice of cake or a glass of wine in the sunshine.

Every Tuesday evening in July – Beach Volleyball from 6 pm to 9 pm – Pavilion end of Weymouth Beach. £2.00 per player per night.

Every Wednesday evening in July – Beach Tag Rugby from 6 pm to 8.30 pm on the Pavilion end of Weymouth Beach.

Haunted Harbour Tours – Every Wednesday throughout the year
3 to 11 Beach Live – Free music on Weymouth Beach. Weekends 3.30 pm to 10 pm, weekdays 6.30 pm to 10 pm.

16 St Martin’s Broadmayne Community Market – In St Martin’s Community Hall from 2pm to 3.30 pm. A village market of homemade cakes and produce, plants, crafts, local farm produce, fair trade goods, a raffle, library etc and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat.
16 Go batty at Radipole – RSPB Radipole Lake nature reserve. 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm.

16th Free Dance Mats Sessions – Mothers &   Toddlers 10am – 11.00am (crèche provided)

17 & 18 Portland Steam and Vintage Show – Southwell Business Park. Steam engines both large and small, classic and vintage vehicles of all types, children’s funfair and helicopter rides. 10 am to 4 pm.

18 Teddy Bear’s Picnic in Nothe Gardens. Best dressed teddy competition; big teddy bear hunt, musical entertainment, plus lots more fun and games for all the family. 1.30 pm to 4pm.

23 to 25 London 2012 Open Weekend – Throughout the Borough, a UK wide celebration countdown to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

24 to 30 Optimist Nationals Sailing Championships.
24 July to 15 Aug Turtle Conservation Weeks – Weymouth Sealife Park. We will be making conservation fun for kids of all ages, by including educational workshops and fun activities. Normal Entry Fees apply.
25 The Ridgeway Challenge. Option of 17 miles or 7 miles. 1In aid of the British Heart Foundation
25 Belly Dancing & Music – Greenhill Gardens – 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
