September Sea Swimming Challenge for the W&PNSA

W&P National Sailing Academy The last swim of the BustinSkin Big Bay Swim Series will be held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) on 5 September 2010.  150 competitors will take to the water to participate in either the 1.2 or 2.4 mile swims with all proceeds going to the Dorset Blind Association.  Sea swimming clearly presents a greater challenge than your average pool... 

BBC TO BROADCAST BRITISH SAILING DOCUMENTARIES

W&P National Sailing Academy The BBC is set to broadcast two documentaries on Olympic Classes sailing, produced by Sunset+Vine|APP in association with BBC Sport.  Part 1 of “Olympic Sailing” will air this Saturday, 21 August , at 1300 on BBC 1. It tells the story of Britain’s medal winners at the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta where nearly 1000 sailors from 57 nations competed at the Weymouth...

Sailing in Portland Harbour Palmers Brewery in Bridport, Dorset has raised more than £4,000 to help young or disabled people enjoy the thrill of sailing with the Chesil Trust. For every pint of Palmers’ Dorset Gold sold in Dorset, 5p is donated to the Trust.  In the last year almost 83,000 pints were sold, making £4,146.60 for the Trust.  Sales of Dorset Gold have grown rapidly since its introduction...
